When I was 13 my mother sent me to Indianola to live with my grandmother and granddaddy. Her name was Mrs Alice Lipscomb and granddaddy name was Mr Willie Lipscomb. This was back in 1967, a few years later granddaddy died and grand mama died in 1985. We was all members at Mt Beulah when Rev. Evans was the pastor. We lived at 225 Roosevelt Street. It was some of the best times of my life. I'm in my sixties now, but I will never forget Indianola nor our neighbor Ms Susan and so many other truly wonderful people that played a big part in my up bringing. Thank you for helping my grandparents bring me up. May God always bless and keep you and your children grandchildren and great grandchildren. (Though most, if not all are gone to be with the LORD)
I had a great time living in Indianola. I hope that one day I can come back to Indianola and visit the place that was home to me.Where my heart was and a part of it will always be in Indianola.Added June 24, 2017 by Mary Vargas
